Park Creek Farm is really cool. First of all, as it name indicates, it's more than just a farm - its a wildlife refuge. The 36-acre farm, 33 of which are preserved for plants and wildlife, is home to grey & red foxes, deer, turkeys and a variety of birds. The beaver ponds are also shared by turtles, herons, fish, green, chorus tree & peeper frogs, mink and otters. Wild blackberries fringe the three acres of fields surrounding the house. Currently at Park Creek Farm, they are growing many types of organic fruits and vegetables, including thornless blackberries which contrast the wild ones. They also have free-range chickens, which are moved daily with the use of tractors. It is their intent to begin a CSA, which would primarily offer shares of produce and eggs. Park Creek Farm & Reserve is owned an managed by Errol Hess & Barbara Ervin. Here they live amongst the wild plants and animals that they generously provide refuge for.
