Bakers' Acres Ranch (Anderson)

Established in 2003, Bakers' Acres Ranch is a 62-acre working goat farm located halfway between Charlotte, NC, and Atlanta, GA. The 25+ goat herd is founded by the Boer and Kiko breeds, and is raised for meat using all natural practices. The Bakers' goal is to maximize the average daily weight gain of their goat kids without crop-feeding or unnecessary supplements. They also use aggressive culling pracites to maintain the herd, relying on the genetic foundation of the animal, rather than medications or artificial supplements.

To protect their goats, the Bakers have employed 3 guard dogs that protect the herd from predators. This is a necessary addition to their farm management system as their farm is home to various types of wildlife, which they have caught on camera many times. But so far, they have not lost a single goat!

Bakers' Acres Ranch goat meat is in high demand at Easter, Fourth of July, & Christmas, as well as during many ethnic holidays. Because of this they suggest that your order your meat in advance. While primarily meat goat producers, the Bakers also sell goats as pets and breed stock. Farm tours are also available upon request.

Bakers Acres Ranch is owned an run by Dave and Donna Baker. They share the property with their 3 Livestock Guardian Dogs (LGDs), along with a few rescues and 2 farm cats that could care less about the herd.
